I absolutely loved my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek, I had 65,000 miles when I traded it in. I had never had a single issue with my Subaru... And I traded it in for 2019 Tacoma at the end of last year.

One month in and I couldn't be happier. I'm not sure where you live, but in California Subaru's receive excellent trade values. So I got my Tacoma SR for almost nothing... (figuratively speaking)

    Do it!

Highly recommend getting a taco OP!
The OFF ROAD 4x4 package with premium and tech package best bang for the buck...
I wasn’t fully informed so I didn’t get the premium package:( it’s my only slight regret I wish I had gotten the SUNROOF! Would have came in handy in socal.

I got my First Tacoma a few months ago. Coming out a Dodge Ram 2500 4 X 4 long bed extra cab.
Love the Tacoma, feels a little small at times. . .

I've passed plenty of WRXs mid corner, on the inside line... in my lifted, full loaded taco on A/T tires. (Usually followed by having the pissed off, wanna-be-racer chase me down on the straights and ride my ass as he puffs and pouts about life's injustices.)

Shitty drivers will be shitty drivers, regardless of what they drive.

The Engines were burning oil is a big one.. even causing Uncle Sam to step in, a LOT of them had to be replaced, short blocks, & some multiple times. . Mine keeps going into "limp mode", & no warning. City street is bad, 65 on highway with trucks whizzing by you is an experience I DON'T wanna repeat... AGAIN. Now on new outbacks, the radio/nav system " freeze" up. Again, UNCLE is stepping in.. we see a pattern here?

On mine, the BIGGEST, most often complaint, all of a sudden, no prior warning, all the " oh shit" lights start flashing like Christmas lights. Things it doesn't have say to check them, ie, hill start clutch, eyesite, etc. Engine goes to fast idle, & since its all drive by wire, throttle pedal has no control . The CVT transmission, goes to lowest setting, & you have a speedy 3 mph or so vehicle. The dealer kept telling me to just disconnect the negative battery post over night & it will reset.. Sometimes this worked, & most of the time it didn't. Then, the same dealer, took over 2 months to get a TPS sensor replaced... while telling me it was unsafe to drive till they did. Took Subaru of America to get them awake... they actually ADMITTED they just "forgot" to order it. Then misaligned tires, again, dealer fault... Again, had to get SOA involved.
I used to drive a friends old BRAT... it was bullet proof, except for rust.
This 2015 ( really a re badged 2014) has been nothing but trouble. When she works, its great. But always in your mind, when & where will it crap out again. Sad, its makes a Fiat look reliable... oh, how many times has she done this? 12. twice in the last 3 weeks.

Well, I took the plunge, negotiated a deal, gotta a buyers contract/sheet/etc. Took it to the bank, filled out forms,( took a day & a half as it was busy) . The Dealer called me night before, making sure i was gonna be there so they could have her ready. Then they called me again this morning to verify time... said yes, @ credit union now, doing the paperwork. Called them back as i was leaving the credit union, said i was on my way... they responded great, see you in a few.
Got there, they started "making sure what i wanted on my truck".. had a new buyers order, over 6K higher. Only THEN was i told the truck i looked at & test drove... they had traded to another dealer & this new more expensive truck is 5 days out. Only after I got up, and left the building on way to the car, did they suddenly come after me & said they could get the truck back & have it in a few minutes.. Now, nearest other dealer is 45 min to an hour away.... I just left

WOW that dealer is extremely unprofessional, but not surprised.

Anyway, I have a 2017 DCSB Sport MT, love it and highly recommend it!!. Your Subie story scare me a bit, wifey just bought a 2019 Forester Premium to replace here 2011 Outback Premium. That 2.5 engine and CVT were flawless for ~137,000mi

I’ve owned various Subaru’s (3xWRX, 1xCrosstrek, 1xForester) throughout my meaningless existence and not one of them has had any major problems like leaving me stranded. Like someone said earlier, you got a lemon.

And lol at the guy with a tundra recommending a tundra on a Tacoma forum...WTF?!

I got a Taco, a Sequoia and a 4runner. Buy the Taco with the package that you like and rip the rearview mirror off because you'll never need to "look back!"
