Topic jack. I finally got around to buying replacement headlights and I went with LEDs instead of HIDs. I will post some pics when I install them Friday and see how they do. I'm tired of being a Popeye on the roads

I bought yellow leds for my fogs and they somehow got water inside then and fogged my housing up. So stocks went back in problem solved. Time to find some better ones

English wasn't my best I will get you that.

Can "you" not be possessive for the reader?
    What would make that southern?

The university actually teaches a course on this so employees are aware of the different “dialects” of English across the US.

Apparently the south is the only place that uses the word “you” as a plural to address a group of people.

Yes, “you” is also singularly possessive to a reader.

This is why English is one of the most complicated languages in the world.

If i was going to use it as a plural i know it's "you guys" that'd be an interesting class, I think it would be cool to take a class about losing accents as well. Sound like a spokesperson lol.

I didn't even realize I used "you" as a plural before. Apparently people from different parts of the country feel singled out (offended) when we use "you" do describe a group and we (southerners) don't even realize we are doing it.

that's not really how i used "you" though, i just wanted each person who read to feel like i was trying to make a connection with them.

i'm trying to think of how you would use "you" to refer to a group. Can you use it in a sentence sir lol

Brother in law got in a fender bender today. He’s fine, his corolla not so much. How bad does this look to you guys as far as damage is concerned? He asked for my opinion so naturally he gets everyone else on here as well. Lol. upload_2019-2-13_13-33-50.jpg

It’s old they’ll use non oem parts or used parts. Idk what car books for, but I think damage has to hit maybe 60-70% of value to total.

If it still drives great then I’d tell him to ask about buy back if they total it. I did that with my insurance company and they wrote a check for $4100 and I bought car back for $810. Still drives great after wreck.

True. I'm going to look at it tonight. Hoping its nothing severe. Him and my sister are trying to buy a house and this just adds more to the picture.

I'll be sure to mention that to them. Could be a good alternative to buying a new car if its totaled.
