Can't say whether it's dyed or not. It does have a lifetime warranty, long as I own the vehicle and show em the receipt.

That $500 tint pill is pretty hard to swallow, eh?

The lifetime warranties usually only covers workmanship or defects with the tint (peeling, cracking, adhesive failure, and delamination)...

ETA - some brands (SunTek) will warranty against fading, ONLY if you purchase their higher end tints - aka carbon or ceramic.

Seems expensive, especially in CA where you can find tint shops on every street corner.

We paid $500 to have our GX 460 done in full ceramic, and that included the windshield and sunroof.

I'd search around and get a better deal.

Thanks guys. Figured this was on the higher end. Although the shop has 5 stars and tons of reviews....:annoyed:

It really just depends on the shop. I was originally quoted between $750-900 for our GX with ceramic, then luckily I found a shop in the neighboring city that did it for $500.

Call around and tell them exactly what you want, it'll cut through the BS.

I had a car with 50% windshield and it was too dark. Went 60% this time. It's still dark but the heat rejection during the summer out weighs that aspect.

100% agree. A/C works far less with the windshield being tinted, so the cab gets cooled off much quicker in the summer time and keeps it cool.

I honestly don’t understand the issue here about getting raped. I think it’s more about who knows and did research on the product they had installed. Not all tint is equal bottom line. This reminds me of the countless threads on hid’s in factory projectors vs say rx350 projectors. Their argument for hid’s in factory holds as much water as those saying paying a premium for top tier tint is the same as getting raped. Do your research guys before you post on a forum where the uninformed come to gain knowledge.

I have quality tint and RX350's...I must have got raped.

Dyed film and a Morimoto HID kit are basically the same shit, right?
