Whew - no Foresters. Anyway We will keep a look out as we only have ~200miles on it so far. Enjoy your truck when you get it. As I said, I love my Tacoma.

My '04 2.5RS needed manual transmission rebuilds every 25-35k miles, thankfully under warranty, it also has the worst quality paint Iv'e ever seen on a vehicle.

You're going to love the tacoma!

Before getting my brand new 2018 Tacoma Sport, I did a ton of research and a lot of test driving including, GMC, Chevy and Ford. I went thru forums and gather as much information and feedback as possible. Most of the negatives are people trolling on the truck for its performance. I came to the undivided conclusion that people will love to have a Tacoma with a Ferrari engine, who doesn't? However, I bought the Tacoma because it rides like a truck and outperformed every other truck I test drove hands down. That being said, I LOVE MY TACOMA and I would recommend this truck to anyone!

Bought a 19 Limited about 11 days ago, will never 4 by it. Wanted all the bells and whistles, as I keep my trucks a long time. Just got rid of my 06 AC sport, sold in 45 hrs and didnt give it away by all means. The new one drives so much better, I'm happy as a clam. It does seem to shift a lot, no big deal.

Fun fact about new Subarus, if you leave XM on any channel that could play explicit music, you will return to your radio on the Disney channel/some equivalent... no bullshit look it up .

I bought our Forester new in 2006, still have it, 320k on it with very few issues. Still drives great. awesome car for going to the ski hill.
I would look for a new 2018 Offroad if OP wants to buy a truck

    It's a secret
Hold out until Aug/Sept/Oct when year-end sales are around for the 2019 models, or when the 2020 models begin to roll in. There are various beneficial incentives and rebates during those months.

TRD Off-Road 4x4 model is my suggestion...don't opt for the Predator steps, they just smash shins...

My brother has a 2014 Subaru Impreza. The CVT transmission died at 98,900 miles.Replaced for free under Subaru's extended warranty. They had an issue with the earlier transmissions.Sort of like my Tacoma getting a new frame after 10 years of use. Both Toyota and Subaru have high resale values.

NICE! We just replaced a 2011 Outback that had 137,000 and for the most part the Outback treated us well and never left us stranded. However, to pass inspection, we need to put in another ~$1500 and I was done putting money into it. So, we picked up 2019 Forester Premium this Monday and wifey love it.

people that complain about Subaru reliability are kids that bolt a bunch of shit onto their wrx and drive the piss out of it without getting a proper tune. nothing wrong with subies except the whole headgasket fiasco that they fixed.

Mine has had to have the throttle pos sensor replaced 3 times, tpi sensor replaced twice, computer reset countless times. Then something on front steering ( ball joints? ) replaced, its all stock, & gravel parking lot is as close to off road as she has ever gotten . Their are lemons in all vehicles, I just happen to get the Subaru one is all. They fixed her once on a wednesday, picked her up on friday, she failed again Saturday. This time they replaced the gas/ fuel pedal, brake sensor, & something else.

OP is very hard to read you posts with the weird run on sentences and random capitalized words.

If you had the same issue 13 times you should lemon law the vehicle. My wife has a 2018 Outback and our HU died. Waited 28 days for a replacement unit to arrive. Was given a loaner vehicle for the entire time. Had it a year now and no other issues. The burning oil is an old thing, the new ones are not burning oil. Also it’s on the 2018 Outback that is having HU issues, not the 2019.

As far as the Tacoma, it’s a great truck. Just go test drive and make sure you like the power delivery.

I traded in a 2010 Forester for my Tacoma. It was super reliable & got around great in the winter but it obviously didn't have a box to haul stuff so it is gone
