I know someone who would've made it up that hill in 2wd. All about the line

I uhh...peeled the stickers off. Does that count?

I have a CB in the garage I can bring. I am in so long as I can tag along in someone else's rig for the more challenging stuff. My "off road" experience is solely limited to dirt bike and 4-wheelers.

Your truck is more capable than you, right now. If you have some off road driving experience, you'll be fine.

Just make sure you have solid recovery points in the front & rear if you do need to be pulled out of something.

Make sure we update the OP if the campsite changes last minute, last year's solo exploration while playing marco polo with horns and CBs was an adventure.

"The campsite should be close, it's easy to find"
meanwhile I'm over here like... "Where?"

Good spot? Yea...if you like camping on the property line of a disgruntled person who has frequently interfered with the DBBB & been taken to court on multiple occasions, convicted of domestic violence, and had a mysterious murder take place on his driveway......If we camp there I'll be sleeping with my AR.

    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
The camping spot is far from his property line. The trailhead runs right along his property.

You wont need the come along. We have wenches. And a few of us have winches. Bring a pair of gloves, baby wipes, and muck boots. Add beer and donuts and you have @beertimecontinuum s staple camping kit

Random question, does anyone bring their dog(s) with them? If so, do they bring them with them while driving?

True, it's a pretty good distance. I didn't realize how weird his property shape is until now. I circled the spot, and his house:
    upload_2019-2-14_8-38-51.jpg

But that old field and house are on privately owned property, so I'm not sure it's the best place to continually revisit.
