Hope so...I have a feeling that some will actually yield better mpgs from more power/response because the base tune was created for stock trucks. More power/response seems to keep the modded trucks momentum up which keeps less effort needed to move the vehicle. This is why I was able to attain 19mpg towing a 13’ pontoon boat and trailer while on 1.03

With 1.05 91 tune with 93 oct I've been driving with the ECT on lately (never before) or S5 and i've been netting 2-3 mpg (17 mpg) better driving. I agree, with lift, tires and armor the truck does not do well in the 1,100-1,500 rpm range. The faster I can get to speed the better MPG's I'm getting. Wife has a 2018 4runner and it drives around at 2k so idk why Toyota thought a smaller engine driving in lower rpms would be sufficient torque. Also Texas driving sucks bc if you're not doing 75 mph your causing traffic...

I am still on 1.03 but I recieved the 1.05 files about two weeks ago but decided to wait for the new FM and updated tune files before flashing to 1.05.
Thinking I'll go strait for the performance tune in 91 oct.

If you have a TSB calibration prior to flashing, you will be able to flash back to the particular TSB calibration at a later date, if desired. If you do not, you will go back to whatever pre-TSB calibration was present prior to tuning.

If you do want the TSB, you can download TechStream and use your Tactrix cable to flash the .CUE files (Toyota TSB calibration) that can be found somewhere in this thread. It is very straightforward and TechStream will not let you flash the wrong .CUE to your truck. However, you can mess all kind of stuff up with TechStream in general, so tread lightly.

Can you answer the what would happen if a tank of 85 snuck into a 87 tuned truck? Is there a way to tell if I ended up with a lower batch than advertized and need to dump in some octane boost.

Loving the 1.05 tune so far. It still has a surge kick at about 3500 rpms but im guessing thats unavoidable. I haven't been able to get it out and stretch the legs yet as we are snowed in but I will soon.
