Teeeeeechnically Force = Mass * Acceleration (or gravity when talking about "weight") if you want to bring length/distance into the equation you need to account for time (speed is length/time) soooooooo F = d ("length" you speak of) divided my time squared

So you're not wrong but you're not right either.

Edit: F = (md)/t squared how silly of me...

Get a superbumper..... distributes the impact of low speed hits by way of the length of the superbumper as well as the rubber inserts.

Some states have bumper protrusion restrictions and I believe that would fall under the classification. Besides state laws there could also be local laws that don’t allow for them to be left in while not being used.

Every state is different. Go down to your local DMV/BMV office, pick up a "new driver's handbook" and I guarantee it's in there.

I’m not gonna sit here and dig through every state and thousands of local laws. Here is Maryland’s that popped up. I’m not lawyer but I think they could classify a ball mount under those pretenses

I have the same one. I was rear ended by a Prius. No visible damage to my truck and put a big hole in her bumper cover. Fugg it.

Sure were, but that was over 20yrs ago. And after scraping cars up from accident scenes for 22yrs, physics in a book don't mean shit. But thanks for asking..

Those people deserve to be rheemed to the hardest extent of the law. That's awesome that they caught him!

Practical application sometimes defies all logic that you could learn out of a book.

Physics is science. Proven and fact.

His "practical application" is nothing more than a random sample of subjective events, judged through his biased views.

Put one of those metal levers into one truck, and park it next to an identical truck. Then create two identical rear-end collisions on those trucks, study the results, and tell me the tale. Spoiler: laws of physics will decimate his "practical application of 22 yrs."

I have one of these in my 2013 Tacoma and one in my Wife's 2017 4Runner. both have been hit hard and there was NO damage to my vehicles each time. The vehicles that hit mine were damaged pretty bad, leaking antifreeze and freon bad body damage resulted etc. They both stay mounted all the time we do not tow.

Hmm, always one who holds dear the school book. But has no real world experience. 20170413_140833.jpg this happened parallel parking, speed in reverse never exceed 2 mph. Reinforced parking meter post, vertical. How's that for physics.. and if the beavertail is knife shaped hit by a plastic car, the car will that the brunt of the damage. So save your physics speech. I deal in real world. Not controlled experiments.
