Ha that is a pretty sick set up. I would have to cut out some wonky thing for mine, but I'm sure it can be done. Maybe I can convince @snowsk8air2 to jump in on the snorkel train?

As far as that white runner, I get the vibe he is an overlander strictly due to the white ride with black decals...but I could be wrong!

That's not an option for me. The motor doesn't need a drinking straw :)

I'd be curious what you come up with.

Are you doing UCA hydro bumps?

I’m curious too lol. And no I am still bumping off the lca with superbumps. Stock spindles, even gusseted, would not be happy with how hard they would be getting hit.

I'm going to put that to the test... Maybe I'll get an excuse to buy a set of the camburg fully fabed spindles.

Discussions in my house, or Why I love my wife.

-Long tube headers and hi-flow muffler, you want ear-pro in the cab for a long ride. My wife: make that a little quieter please. Don't wake up the neighbors' kids at nap time.
-Bump-steer related death wobble from a bent frame. My wife: oh it's a harmonic oscillation with the road bumps, what are you going to adjust to make it stop, and how do you fix it?
-Put on glass bedsides. My wife, visibly pissed off: FFS why is the back of your truck white? I'm not riding in it until you fix that.

And the bonus round: Ragnar, on seeing the bedsides, "Daddy, your truck is supposed to be black. Mr. Shark Truck Dave's truck is white."

    Bump steer

This is what happens when the alignment of the steering link pivots and axle pivots are not aligned correctly. In this case because using a setup designed for a +3 long travel kit and cut down for stock width.

    IMG_20190209_165328583.jpg
The solution is to move the outer pivot up. The giant stack of washers is there because the bolt is too long, the real magic is in the plate on the top, which moves the pivot forward and up to make the geometry work.

Next step is to weld it on and make it double shear.

Snorkel with glass and supercharger here. I used 3.5" for the main section, to 4" into the CAI box and haven't noticed any power loss.

Very nice, 4" pipe should be plenty. That's a nice solution, I'm going to save that spot for an exo-cage.

Real cages go on the inside.

Not ready to wear a helmet every time I get in the truck, and also not ready to give up my air-bags. An exo gives me some additional protection and makes it a little more civilized on the inside.

Besides, an exo-cage is just a really, really, beefy roof rack :)

If that’s the case it should be called an expo cage.

But I hear ya. My original plan was exo, but after going LT and seeing how fast I’m driving off road, internal is the way to go for safety. I’ll probably keep the front airbags in since I’ll be leaving stock belts for any day to day driving and just stuff the harness in the back of the seat pockets until we are off-road and ready to really buckle up.

    Ha. I'll trademark that.

LT and desert running definitely warrants a real cage. I'm more worried about a flop and roll than a high speed tumble. But as a DD getting hit in the highway is the biggest danger, and without a helmet the internal cage is not an improvement.
