What I’m saying is them wanting to charge him $274 up front sucks.

At least the other way he can spread out the amount, not by much, but some people need all the cash they have for other things.

4 radiators in 500k miles doesn’t sound bad to me.

Everyone’s environment and driving conditions are different. Some parts last longer or shorter than others.

That’s good. I don’t think I have had a vehicle past 150k until I got my Corolla and Tacoma. That maybe has to do with me always having more than one means of transportation and my work used to be close.

I’ve taken care of my vehicles, I just don’t drive them enough or own them long enough to get them that high. They are usually sold by the time they get high until now that I have a long commute to work.

one more thing: what is the part number for the upper hose?

Ordered the Champion radiator on Monday and it will be delivered tomorrow.
Ordered the Gates 22120 for $6 so I got two, should be delivered Friday.
Ordered the Slant 10231 for $4, Friday also.
Ordered the burp kit for $22

Only need some time, a place and some new coolant :)

Any suggestions if flushing is necessary?
Is there a procedure for refilling and getting all the air out or is there a Timmmah video?

I think @pullingin said the new radiator filler neck is a different size and needs a different radiator cap.

You can use the same stock upper radiator hose.

Just make sure you fill the engine side of the radiator by bending the upper radiator hose backwards up in the air and filling from that hose, then reconnect and then fill the radiator side and make sure the heater core valve is open (cable)

Replaced my old style radiator with the new style. So far no leaks, also a few updates the new radiator cap is much smaller then the older style but the good news is that the stock radiator cap fits the new style radiator. Here are a few pictures of the install.
As far as the warrenty I still need to ship back the old one for them to let me know if the prepaid amount will be refunded (not including the both way shipping) will let y’all know how that goes.

Champion makes very good high quality aluminium radiators at reasonable prices . Just ordered one for my Camaro and this one is capable of keeping a 800hp motor cool

It's a radiator cap, not a purse. Who cares what it looks like so long as it keeps the coolant where it is supposed to be, at the correct pressure?

If it's this big an issue, find a shop to weld the bung on straight. Problem solved.
