I turned out the lights settin a post. Forgot about a cross piece n got cracked in the back of the head, drove me to my knees fightin off the darkness. Next thing I remembered was my wife talkin to me but couldn’t hear nothin over the ringin and was distracted by the twinklin lights.

Evening kids, 8”-10” of wet heavy snow last night. Drive to work was insane, high winds, snow over the ice, major white outs. Ride home was much better, got home and got it blown out. 40* tomorrow will melt the rest. Crazy winter so far, it’s getting old. Daughters birthday today, she is over and we got CAKE.

passed a bad wreck on my way home from work. some moron was driving an older Ford truck the wrong way and hit a SUV head on. Then the SUV got rear ended. it was a solid head to head crash, looked like he was fully in the wrong lane and not just a last minute swerve. Both SUV's were newer, all bags deployed. Don't think the truck had air bags. Two lanes north, two south and a center turn lane and the moron still picks the wrong one.

Been there, hope you are ok. Be careful of a concussion.

Had the troop in Mojave a few years back, a old miner had built a half mile long tunnel, by hand, as a shortcut to get gold out faster. Took him 30 years and the gold rush had ended before he was done. He kept digging and as he got older the tunnel got lower.
    https://www.desertusa.com/desert-prospecting/burro-schmidt-tunnel.html

Fast forward to 2014 and we are nearing the end of the tunnel, I turn to the boys and say, "watch your head, the tunnel gets smaller" I turn back around and duck my head into a rock. Right down to my knees and things are getting black.
I make it outside and I am surrounded by scouts, blood streaming down my face...are they administering first aid?

    No, they are taking pictures.

I've had the lights go out on me about 9 yrs ago . I woke up feeling very dizzy and light headed I struggled to get to the bathroom to get some water . As I'm heading back to my bed I started feeling worse and then it went dark

I fell between my bed a nightstand and when woke up it felt like hours went by . Luckily I managed not to hit anything but that was scary

@bucktales, I was down your way this evening for a Roger Williams University student acceptance night at.... The Patterson Club. Even drove the Tacoma - ARB bumper, studded snows, night jacker driving lights. Parked it next to one of those big Lexus SUVs.

Let me explain for the group, that's essentially Bush Wood (CaddieShack). Back in the 70's my uncle wanted to join. The non refundable application fee was 10Gs....

    Small(ish) town real world issues.

Found a place in Tempe that works on air pumps and sells new ones. Told them to work me up a quote for a rebuild and give the cost of a new one. Meanwhile my seasonal finds a place in town that says they work on them and will have a quote tomorrow. The seasonal updates me on his progress and I tell him they'll probably get the parts from the same place I talked to in Tempe. Sure enough, the guy in Tempe calls me this evening, tells me the local place calls him for a quote on the rebuild kit and gives me his price for a new one and he has 2 new pumps sitting on the shelf. So now we got the local place in a squeeze and they don't even know it. I'm also waiting on another quote from a 2nd dealer further east so I can compare prices with the guy in Tempe. Ultimately I'd like to do business locally but I think they screwed us earlier on an electric motor. I'm all for folks being in business, just don't like paying a whole lot more because the local guy thinks he's the only game out there.
