The potential specs are pretty crazy I think it was something like 13" of ground clearance in stock set ups. I don't think I'd spend the money on it even if I had that kind of money.

All electric cars as such are luxury cars. They don’t offer the same specs that our current vehicles do. Until they bring pricing down and get rid of features that your average truck driver doesn’t want and improve the range, I can’t see it having a mass market.

And make it look somewhat decent. It’s like they tried to make the ugliest truck in history

You’ll change you mind after I mount my light bar, Prinsu, 33” MTs, Volk Wheels, rear tire carrier and angry beaver shovel.

It’ll be the dopest rig at the mall.

Electric is arriving. 10 years and gas is done in North America. As demand for gas goes down, it will become more expensive, and harder to find. 20 years out.....you’ll be hard pressed to find a gas station on your commute. It’ll be a specialty product for enthusiasts.

Absolutely. Never have understood why these electric car makers always come out with the goofiest designs. Maybe I’m not smart enough to understand but I would assume they can come out with something more appealing to the average Joe.

At the beginning they just want you to notice the article. If they made an electric pickup that looked like a 1998 Sonoma, no one would care. It’s supposed to be “from the future”....it’s gotta look the part.

No way that gasoline/internal combustion is going the way of the dinosaurs, not in our lifetime at least. Big oil and big pharm are what runs this country.

Big oil will be leading the charge (no pun intended). It’s going to require a lot of gas and oil-fired power plants to charge all the cars.

Internal combustion is already on the chopping blocks in some European cities. I’m just saying it’s going to reach a critical mass where it no longer makes sense to support the gasoline infrastructure. We can likely argue this forever, but the only thing we’ll be debating is timelines. It will happen, and likely faster than you think.

My true hope is that the nerds and SJWs who want us all in safely strapped into driverless cars lose their mandate.

We may all be a little afraid of the idea of the electric Tacoma, but I’m just hoping I’ll be allowed to drive the fuggin’ thing, by myself, without breaking the law.
