Where do yall live, where you're getting $500 and $600 tint jobs?

Because where I'm from, it's about $300 for the best tint on something big, like a 4 door F250.

damn! thats a good deal right there. we won't even tint one door in our shop for that. but we don't use cheap film. if you got a lifetime warranty on $40 worth of tint you really have accomplished something. what place in KY did it? id be curious to look them up and see some of their work.

I'm with ya, we get $280 for full trucks and sedans with ceramic film in our shop. and our customers freak out when you tell them that. they want the "cheap" tint which only saves them about $60-70 depending on the vehicle. there is no way we can get $500-$600.

That doesn’t include the windshield ($150) and sunroof ($70).

All of which I always tint.

a GX is not a typical 4 door truck or car. but he did do his sunroof and full windshield. for a full size SUV in ceramic we charge $345 without the windshield and sunroof.

GX is a big bitch to tint too, from what I’ve heard. The window seals are very tight and it’s got defroster lines to deal with on more than just the back glass.

It took the guy who did it almost 4hrs to do it, but I think he also hand cut everything.

they aren't too bad. unless it is a brand new one, then you have to remove the front door panels. but still not bad. we can do one and full windshield and sunroof in about an hour to hour and a half. but there are 3 of us in the shop too. and we plotter cut everything. hand cutting takes time to do right. I still haven't fully mastered that craft yet.

I got a pre cut kit for my truck. All of the back windows were super easy(double cab). The drivers side and passenger side front windows were the biggest PITA ever. They still aren't perfect. I didn't even attempt the windshield. I might take it somewhere and have them redo the two front windows and do the windshield drop.

Windshield is really a pain on my truck as I have two interior visor emergency lights for the fire department I'm in. So I'm going to have to take them down to have the installer be able to do the windshield.

Tint won't stick to those polka dots on the windshield (around your rearview mirror). The tint shop tinted over those dots in my truck, but you can still see the dot matrix from the outside. Doesn't really bother me, but just so you know.

yeah those DOT Matrix dots suck as far as tint goes. but if you want to cover them, cut the tint off of them and replace with black vinyl. vinyl will stick to them. I didn't do my Tacoma because it doesn't bother me. but I did my Subaru Crosstrek that I traded in, it had a large area of dots and it looked like shit.

I’m actually in the same boat as you, let me know who you end up going with, or maybe we can get a package deal. I’m in San Jose also
