As I stated (a day late), I'm posting up my OG Fab overhead MOLLE rack for Yo_Hec (ogfab.com) and everyone to see.

First, I wanna state that Yo_Hec, from the very beginning of the purchase, was honest and very easy to work with. He does this as a side job. From date of purchase to delivery was about a month. Being a business owner, I understand what it's like to try and find free time to do anything. He communicated with me throughout the entire process. He asked me to post up pics, so I figured that I would give a little review as well.

The rack did ship flat and needed to be bent. No big deal. I eyeballed how far that I had to bend the "outer wings" and the mounting bracket locations. After test fitting about 2 or 3 times, it was right where I wanted it.

I used 6mm x 1.00 x 35 mm bolts to mount the rack (length may vary because I mounted paracord grab handles with the rack). For my application the hardware is as follows: bolt, 6mm fender washer, paracord handle, rack, 6mm fender washer, 1/4" x 1/2" bushing spacer, and finally a 6mm fender washer. While mounting, I pushed the rack up into the ceiling as much as I could. Once everything was where I wanted it, I tightened everything down.

Currently, I have nothing mounted to it, but have plans for various things. It is steel, so I can use magnets as well. The mounting tabs are high enough that they should never be a dagger to the head. I very rarely have rear passengers, so I'm not worried. If someone does sit back there, I'll provide helmets.

Feel free to ask me any questions. End rant and enjoy pics!!!

This looks fantastic! I'm about to add a second car seat to my truck so I'd appreciate more pics and feedback!

I have BlueRidge Overland Gear MOLLE panel behind my seat that has to go and I was thinking of this as a good option.

What other pics would you like to see? Yo_Hec is great to work with. He works on the road though. You can still place an order, but don't expect a rush. I know currently he is out working for the next 6 weeks.

Yes. I don't mind waiting. I'm curious to know if it impacts visibility at all, how well it does holding MOLLE gear and if it's quiet. Plus tons of pictures! The price seems pretty good on it but I don't know if I can justify the $200.

Empty, it stays completely out of your vision. Depending on the thickness of your MOLLE bags, I would say most would stay out of your vision or hinder it very slightly. I have some bags that I'll test out tonight. I'll put some weights to it as well. I know that I can pull down on it with some strength and it does not want to move at all, nor does it want to bend. I'll report back.

Edit, BTW, check out his website also for pics of the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas, as well as the Tundra ones that he has made.

Not that I'm aware of, but anything is possible for the right price I'm sure. The only custom stuff that I know of is the logos that he puts on them. Doesn't hurt to ask.

dont mean to revive an old thread but figured it's better than starting a new one...any update on how you like the rack and how it is holding up? Any additional pictures of stuff on it is appreciated too! I am considering buying one but can't find much out there

Additionally, how much would you say you had to bend the wings to fit the form of the roof (not the tabs in front/back) I saw on Meso they are bent to 20 degrees

Ever consider making these for the roof of a camper shell? Your work is awesome. IMG_20190131_155436176_HDR.jpg

Do you have any way you lock down all your gear? I don't have a topper and would like to have a molle rack with a high lift and an axe, but theft is always present. I am looking for any solution to lock down those items.

Honestly man the camper shell is my best defense. I have pelican boxes bolted in that I can lock but it's only as good as the honesty of the thief.
