Hey guys, trying to add a light bar switch to the panel below and was curious if there is an easy way to do this so I don’t jack up the panel or my dash. I’ve seen where you can also pull the whole lower panel but don’t know which is easier.

    Any advice is much appreciated!

    Working on them
I pulled mine out without using a tool I put my thumbs at the bottom corners of the opening and just worked one side to the other back n forth and it came out rather easy I pulled a little on the left then pulled on the right little at a time.

Yep, pops right out. Grab a plastic spatula from the kitchen if you don’t have panel tools.

I used a plastic spoon and some force, it’ll give!

Pulling the whole panel is really easy actually. The top of the plastic panel to the bottom-left of the hood pop latch is just clipped in, you can tug that out. Behind that, the overall panel you're trying to remove is secured by a 10mm bolt. There's a couple of other screws/bolts at the bottom below where the airbag panel is, and then clips at the top. It's been awhile so I may be forgetting a step, but I was able to get it out with no issue to put in my mesojdm panel there just winging it a few months ago.

I do remember though, be a bit gentle with the hood latch and the TPMS button near it when you're removing the panel. The hood latch assembly has a wire like those on bicycle brakes and can be a bit finicky to remove.
