I wouldn’t mind. @Discount Tire Direct, can you provide a good deal on a set of Cooper Maxx?

I don’t have any flaps, half way there.

The weight and tire selection in that size is such a kick in the nuts though.

255/75/17 are a much better selection for that width.

Unfortunately something happened during shipping; FedEx only brought three of the four tires. Hoping to see the last one soon so I can get ‘em mounted up.

    Looking meaty, Gat!

As for the 4th tire, I took a peek at the tracking and for whatever reason, it fell 1 day behind the other 3. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow though - sorry about that!

Matt, it arrived this morning! I’ve got an appointment later today at America’s tire to get them mounted and balanced...very exited.

Looks really good and happy to see that size fits without rubbing on those wheels on stock suspension.

Only thing keeping me from jumping to that size is the damn weight but 255/75/17 might be be in my future.

    Thanks!

The weight is noticeable but not enough to make me think twice. Worth it in my opinion.

Probably not in my case, I have a 40mile round trip day commute to contend with. With 42lb 265/70/17 tires, 2 inch lift, sliders and full tool box I'm averaging about 20 mpgs. I dont need to drop to the 15-17mpg range.

Damn that’s good; how do you get 20 with all that?! I also do about 40 miles round trip and only manage to get 18-19. I try shifting around 2k most times too.

I have an AT and keep it below 65mph, that's the typical flow of traffic for me so rpms stay between 15-1800 and I never use cruise control. Anything above 70 and the mileage drops like a stone.

I have another car that runs comfortably above 70mph, I'll use that when I feel the need to be ahead of everyone I see. :D

Long time lurker, first time poster/commenter/replier. I'm looking to get these rims and put some all-seasons on them since it's mostly a daily driver for me! @Discount Tire Direct - I saw you helped out a fellow Tacomaworld user, was hoping you might be able to help me out with some Michelin Defenders. Thanks!

Since this seems to be the thread for all things "SEMA" wheels. I figured I would share some info.

I ordered a set of wheels from here: https://www.elitecustomrims.com/col...t-4runner-fj-cruiser-tacoma-fortuner-wheels-1

Very happy with their customer service for the most part as I've had some Fedex issues, etc that weren't their fault. However, I did call before I ordered to confirm the specs on the wheels as they are listing them at 17x7.5 while all of the aftermarket ones I've seen are typically the 8" wheel. I was told over the phone that they are the same specs as OEM. I received 2 of my 4 wheels today and unboxed one to compare it to the OEM wheel I already have and they are a full inch wider than the OEM wheel.

The finish is also satin vs matte which I wouldn't mind, it actually looks like it would be much easier to keep clean. The center caps are nice and appear to be OEM quality as the TRD is molded into the center cap and not just a sticker on top.

Overall it looks like a nice wheel but I wanted/needed it to match the OEM specs for a reason so this set will be sent back or sold locally. I'm guessing their supplier probably changed things up on them.

*Update* They returned my call within 30 minutes and are going to make it right one way or another, they will either swap it for the OEM spec'd version if they have them in stock or will return these wheels. Still impressed with their service.
