    My ‘02 WRX had a bad throw out bearing and that was loud af....still ran like a champ though the last 20k miles.

    On occasion, I have to wear my hard hat, one of several protective hats I own. I tell people that my hat has a 20' safe radius. Stay by me and they can't get hurt.

    Low seam hard hat
    Full face underground helmet
    Tunneling hard hat
    Construction hard hat
    Mtb standard helmet (3)
    Mtb full face helmet
    Motorcycle full face helmet.

    My wife says I am just accident prone, never mind the places I go or the things I do.

    If you really think it's tranny whine, you could try replacing this shield. There is a TSB for the whine, but it doesn't cover the 2018s.
