I wanted a bed mat for my new 2010 Prerunner double cab and after checking with the local dealer who wanted $109, I thought I would check with some of the internet dealers I've seen referenced on TW. So over the weekend I ordered a bed mat for $ 84.49, and 2 other small items from ToyotaPartZone.com. When I checked out, shipping was a very reasonable $11.04. This afternoon I received an e-mail from them saying that the bed mat weighed 70 lbs, and because of the size and weight UPS said it would cost $53 to ship it. For that price I'm going to cancel the entire order and I guess I'll just pay a visit to the local dealer.

I know that mat is heavy rubber, but I have trouble believing it weighs 70 lbs, even packed in a box. Has anybody else ordered one of these over the web? Anybody remember what it cost to ship it?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out the links.
Just to clarify: The price from the local dealer was $109+tax.
The online price was under $85, but then they wanted to add $53 shipping.
    I don't think so.............

If you need it to do some work, get a $40 horse stall mat and cut out the wheel wells. 3/8-1/2" thick will take some abuse.

Yesterday I ordered an OEM bed mat and some door sill protectors from TRDparts4u. The mat was $84-$86 (can't remember exactly) and shipping to FL came out to be around $31.

I paid the same from the same vendor. It was pretty painless.

Check your local craigslist. I pay $40 almost brand new mat. They are over $100 bucks OEM or your dealer. That is a rip off.

I got mine from Toyota Parts Outlet. It was $87 and at the time they had free shipping. I think the estimated shipping cost to Houston on their site was around $25. Also, the total weight from the shipping label was 15 lbs.

My local dealership believes you should add 20% to all of Toyota's list prices for accessories / parts so they quoted me $130 + tax. It pays to shop around!

I got one through JC Whitney for $65. They baited me with a free shipping incentive. If it weren't for that, there was a note on the item stating it was an overweight item and would cost more to ship.

I paid $60 for one from a local truck accessory dealer. It doesn't say Tacoma, but it's thick and does the job.
