My new truck hood scoop leaks water down through the 2 open holes under the hood scoop then down front of the engine. Dealer told me they all do it they have no factory fix. The water is running down the plastic cover and getting on all the sensor and hoses. Over time this I feel will cause electrical problems. Anyone figure out how to seal this.

Ok all you guys, your right water will splash up on the engine when driving it in the rain. So I will not RTV the gill. And per one of your comments the engine is pretty much sealed up. Being new to the truck market I didn't realize that compared to a car.

Just thought it would be interesting to see if Toyota Customer service would even check if Toyota engineering is aware. I got the push back that they can't contact Toyota engineering. It would have to come from a dealer seeing only 1 truck having an issue. If all the Sport Scoops leak the dealer determines this is OK.
So Customer service position is its OK. So I asked what if all the Tacoma's had a
transmission issue. That would also be ok. They said all recalls are driven from the Federal Highway transportation.
Just to get you guys thinking. Ha.

If it’s really that important to you...RTV over the holes?

While you have the RTV out, probably should cover up all those holes in the grille too that let water in...

Your engine gets absolutely soaked in the rain when driving. It comes up from the bottom. Don't worry, it's all waterproof.

Apologies if my first post came off the wrong way, just giving you a hard time OP, welcome to TW and as hiPSI pointed out and I alluded to with my post, your engine bay is gonna be exposed to all sorts of weather, I wouldn't fret the two holes for the skewp.

That rain your getting through your grille at 70mph is a lot more. And some members have submerged their 3rd gens in water over the hood your truck will be fine. Welcome to TW enjoy your truck.

My 2nd gen had a cat sleeping under the hood it got in from under the truck.

I don't think a little water will cause any harm.
