    Is it worth it? I was thinking about doing the 4Runner upgrade.

    Same. My coworkers look at me all sideways when I tell them I don’t game anymore and that I pretty much shut everything down except a tablet and phone for the weekend. I’d rather get some zen from wrenching on the truck or working on the house when I can’t get into the mountains.

    Yes. You both need to do it already.

    Here's my recommendation (buy the parts for a 2005 Tundra)
    • 13WL Reman calipers from NAPA. Pay core charge, return your worn out Taco calipers in the box for core deposit. Don't call it out, they don't check that closely or care.
    • EBC 7000 Series Greenstuff brake pads
    • StopTech rotors
    • Upgrade the front brake lines from the old rubber hoses to stainless braided. Don't get ones specifically for the Tacoma unless you want to deal with potential leaking/drilling out the fittings... Just get these: https://www.lceperformance.com/Stainless-Brake-Line-Kit-Tacom-To-Tundra-Upgrade-p/1055114.htm

    Guessing it's the same or similar, I did it on my 02 4runner and it was a very noticeable upgrade.

    Weird, doesn’t look like it will fit a gx470. Guess I better stick to the mall.

    You could get the brake lines from wheelers and you won’t need to do any drilling. That’s what I did and no issues

    @lambo

    Toytec has 1st gen SS braided made by crown in stock.

    Get the eclipse brand calipers, they are already powdercoated. I have noticed the bolts are corroding a little that hold the caliper together on mine.
