    Where is the rubbing? I thought 255/80's would fit with stock wheels and suspension.

    Right on. It’s too late for me as I already have a set with about 10k miles, so far so good :fingerscrossed:
    Mine are just 265/70/17 though. Next set of tires will be either 255/80 again or possibly 285.

    I'm lifted and running aftermarket wheels with a -10 offset. That's what is causing the rubbing.

    I just put dick cepek extreme country 255/85r16 on the stock rims on mine (thought rubbing wasn't suppose to be a problem with this size) and it rubs horribly on the plastic liner and bottom corner of the fender flare when turning and going over a small / medium speed bump. I guess it is time to start cutting plastic out.

    50 lbs each. A bit lighter. Has anyone put these on stock TRD Sport wheels with no lift or spacers? Can't seem to get an answer to that question.

    I put these on my 4R. They are absolutely lighter, but not as tough. I put them on at the same time I put MAXXs on my Tacoma and these seemed a little louder than the Coopers, especially being that the 4R is so much quieter inside. I can't speak to how the MAXXs age though and they may gain some noise. The Toyo's have been great in the snow! I think they are a great AT choice. I love the MAXXs, but they aren't for every truck.

    I loved the look of the MAXX, and I had two sets, they wear ok but do get louder as they wear down and never really loose that pull to the right due to the tread pattern. I expect these are not as tough, lower weight is just less material. But I think they will work pretty good for my purpose. Unless your in really slick mud (which you really need a mud tire anyway), all I need is a halfway decent AT and the locker and ATRAC will take care of the rest.

    Bilstein 6112 front, 5100's rear with blocks, camburg UCA, 17" XD's with 285/70/17 AT 3's and a blackout front grille.
    Anybody got statistics or data on if people who run pizza cutters are more exposed to roll overs at higher speeds than 285's? To me I would think more surface coverage would be better. I am looking at getting new tires and seem to be leaning towards the "CMC and 285's" but would love for someone to persuade me to the other side.

    Did you really need a CMC for those?

    I just bought Ray10s in 17x8.5 -10BS and am planning on doing 255/80r17s
    Did not expect to need a CMC

    I have no contact with the cab mount on stick 16s with 255/85s. Looks like plenty of room.
