Lets see all sled set ups!

    Double Cab Short Bed.

Anyone ever haul a sled in the bed of their Tacoma without any custom fabricating?
Gonna see if my Ol' Indy 500 fits in the bed after work! I can ride my sled to work lol!20190213_100150.jpg Indy 500.jpg

How much weight do you estimate is actually on the tailgate? The tailgates should be fine as long as there isnt hundreds of lbs resting on them.

I'd guess somewhere around 100 pounds maybe after it's strapped. That sled was around 450, and the bulk was up around the axle. I hauled it many hundreds of miles that way with no trouble

It's worth noting that the OP has a DCSB.

    Same crap everyone else got
I miss my snowmobiles... They were nothing special but for a guy that just moved to CO from GA they were the shit haha. Indy 440 and and yamaha mountain max 600. Both old and beat up but they worked and I had less than $1000 in them plus the trailer. I'm back in GA now but if I were to do it again, I think I would always use a trailer over the truck bed in a dcsb truck. You can find them cheap enough used and in good shape. Just my opinion.

If I were to carry one of my sleds in the bed I would first build a frame to support it while it's hanging off the end of the bed. A couple stout pieces of angle iron bolted to the bed using the existing bed bolts along with a sheet of 3/4" plywood on top would make a good rack for the sled.

I carried sleds in the back of my many Tacomas for years. Just had to keep one ski over a wheel well and it looked funny leaning but whatever. Tailgate never had an issue but I can say that I have broken 2 tailights loading my sled. Then I got a big enclosed trailer and the Taco had to go. But I snowmobile... about 3000 miles a year if I'm lucky. Just picked up my 2019 Ski Doo 900 Turbo Enduro this past week.

What you guys think I can pick up a brand new 2019 Ski Doo MXZ SPORT 600 carb with no miles for like 7k. Is that a good deal on a good sled? Any of you guys ride with or have one of these MXZ 600 carb? Was just wondering how the reliability are on these? Also anyone put there sled in the bed of the 3rd gen? Any pics please share . TIA
