With the problems you’ve had, I would open a case with corp and request an extended warranty. If they don’t do it, I would dump it.

    I'd get rid of it.

Can you sell it and avoid some of the loss from a trade-in?

Don't forget the 3 annoying MT guys pointing out how great the truck is with a manual (it is).

$8,000 in repairs? How much of that was just replacing the rear end? I'd think most of it. That being said, your problems are probably behind you. If you are going to worry about it, sell it.

What I think I have gotten from this thread is that I need to trade my truck in for a 2nd Gen, Manual Trans, Ridgeline. Then install OVTune and everything will be perfect.

    Did I get that right?

That's going to be any engine with direct injection. Sound bugs me too, for the same reason (it's a sound that would have been bad on older cars), but I doubt most people think anything of it.

Just to clarify, this is normal? Obviously, my dealer thinks it is normal.

Whatever the Toyota dealer puts in it. I am still under Toyotacare, and have been getting my services done every 5K miles.

That noise sounds like your HP fuel pump. Mine doesn't make that much noise, but I have no idea if that is Toyota normal or not.
