Toyota thinks they fixed the issue with tsbs and are unlikely to do any more. If you're ok with the truck now, keep it. If you aren't, ditch it. Its your wallet broski

I have a 2017 4x4 long bed, I bought it slightly used. I see on my Toyota account the original owner kept bring it in for transmission issues and rear end issues. I bought it with about 7K miles and it was pretty good, I got used to the tranny, but the rear end was whining. they did the tsb, and put springs and all that on but it was still whining, they finally put a new rear end in it and now that seems fine.
The transmission is a little weird, but ok... however, I made a thread about how it hesitated before slamming into reverse the other day, so I took it in for the 20K mile and told them about it and they put new software in the transmission and said the fluid level was perfect.

Now it drives a little different, I barely touch the gas and it down shifts, and feels like it is hunting a bit at low speeds, not bad, just different again.

I am at 21K miles, in a year I will be running out of basic warranty. Should I cut bait and trade it in on something else? Or do you think they will get it sorted and it will turn into an awesome truck. I have had about 8K of warranty repairs in the year I have owned it, and I am really worried about the warranty running out.

With the problems you’ve had, I would open a case with corp and request an extended warranty. If they don’t do it, I would dump it.

$8,000 in repairs? How much of that was just replacing the rear end? I'd think most of it. That being said, your problems are probably behind you. If you are going to worry about it, sell it.

What I think I have gotten from this thread is that I need to trade my truck in for a 2nd Gen, Manual Trans, Ridgeline. Then install OVTune and everything will be perfect.

Did I get that right?

That's going to be any engine with direct injection. Sound bugs me too, for the same reason (it's a sound that would have been bad on older cars), but I doubt most people think anything of it.

That noise sounds like your HP fuel pump. Mine doesn't make that much noise, but I have no idea if that is Toyota normal or not.

Toyota saying it’s normal
