I don't understand cryptocurrency especially the whole "mining" it part...I feel like this when I hear 'mining for cryptocurrency on the internet'



Like...did some random troll or elves mysteriously hide currency in the dark reaches of the internet for people to try and find or "mine"? Is it like playing SimCity where you have to build a virtual mining camp and have miners dig for gold that somehow equates to real money? HOW DO I GET IN ON THIS
