I cannot answer that. It's not offered near enough to me either, and I never know if that will be the case were I am traveling. I also have some outdated predispositions against it, and just never really put any effort into working with it.

That app and others like it are good, but sometimes the need for gas "right now" and time constraints just tell me, "stop here and fill up".​

 

Really? Ogden and Provo quit carrying it? Even those were too far for me to drive back when I had a high hp turbo car.

I can only get 93 at two places in south salt lake. Not a drop of E85 in the state

 

IMO, I think flashing for a single Octane with the MPG version enabled through Drive mode, the performance version enabled through Sport mode and ECT acting as gear lock would be ideal. I flash providing everything a guy could want.

Fairly sure you would have problems switching tunes between D and S. Most vehicles dont like on the fly tune changes.

 

Not even sure that's possible.

 

I have no timeline on this right now, but I'm working on code that lets you switch using the cruise control buttons. I dont have ANY outlined timeframe for this, because it really depends how useful it would be on a platform for this, but if we do it, it will let you switch tunes using those buttons. It will switch to different ignition tables, different VVT, different fueling, and throttle command tables.
basically letting you switch without flashing.
But again, this is not confirmed, nor guaranteed, only being investigated for later use.

Once again it ultimately ends up on how practical it actually it is on a truck.

Yes this is only a concept, idea. Not until we've fully disassembled every piece of code and have everything else polished and perfect. I have a lot of fun working on this platform so there is still things to visualize for the future.

Let me clarify - I wanted to know if he was actually seeing proof of misfires (Scanner or techstream) OR if he was feeling "missfires" when he drives his truck.

I can see this being useful for a different set of tables when in 4low. For example, VVT angles to give better engine braking. Exciting stuff.

 

You can get 100+ if you are willing to fill up a container and fill your car yourself. That’s in Murray I think. That same place sells super expensive e85.

As of a few months ago the place in Orem or Provo still had e85. Might want to look into it if you really want e85.

 

What's funny is a lot of the time when folks think they feel a misfire, they are feeling either transmission weirdness or detonation (think the all-to-common "slight miss" feeling folks cite when under load in overdrive gears running 87 octane) One of the reasons many of us run premium with or without a tune....

Unless multiple cylinders are misfiring concurrently you normally won't feel them - other than perhaps a slight momentary reduction in torque
