Enough heat to melt saran wrap?
    Temporarily?

Maybe? I don't really know the melting point of saran wrap. Were you thinking of wrapping the outsides in saran wrap?

I want the plexiglass or similar on there mostly to eliminate noise. I only print in PLA right now, so I don't really need the heat entrapment for that, but when I start going to ABS or other tougher material, I definitely need an enclosure to eliminate any extra drafts or anything else that could alter the cooling and cause warping

Yea, just temporarily, till you get plexi or lexan. Just to see if holding some heat in would improve the printing

Ah. Ya, maintaining heat right now isn't big. I haven't had any issues with that for PLA because it's a softer material. I just want the glass to keep noise to a minimum. I may just do plywood on 3 sides and then 1 sheet of plexi for the front. But, knowing me I'll say fuck it and just drop the cash on all plexi or something similar to make it look nice. Was considering putting the setup downstairs as some decoration. The girl wasn't thrilled with that idea though

Trigger is in! Kind of. I snapped one of the poles on the mechanism trying to get a rubber band in there so the trigger actually pulls and resets itself
