I did not know about this and bank with Chase
Does it import into HR block or any tax suite? That is why i like Fidelity since it makes taxes super easy uploading all the stuff i did, otherwise it would be hours of labor or hiring someone

anyone here use TD Ameritrade because that shit isn't syncing over to TurboTax like it says, maybe I'm doing something wrong idk, but clicking a button to sync is pretty damn easy.

it's a nightmare to talk to anyone at either place.

It downloaded all my dividends last year into TurboTax. I didn't have any sales, but I imagine it would download too.

I have TD Ameritrade. I haven't used TurboTax in a few years but when I did it worked pretty well. Are you initiating the transfer from the TurboTax software? That's what I did. Possible they are just having a temporary bug too.

If worst comes to worst you can manually enter stuff which isn't too bad. If you have a ton of trades break it in to 4 transactions, short term covered, short term non covered, long term covered, long term non covered (you probably don't have any non-covered transactions). Enter the proceeds/basis for each category, then attach the brokerage statement to your return. If you have bond funds (muni's, federal etc) forget everything I just said and wait for a fix, you can do those manually but that is more trouble than it is worth.

I dipped my toes back into the pool on Feb 11 and moved 35% of my retirement funds into a mid cap fund. So far so good lol. Now that my employer match kicked in, I will put 100% of my contributions back into the market (not treasuries). So that still leaves me with a small chunk of money in safe investments but the rest will be in markets

My SNE - SBUX- TTWO - ROKU has been killing it!

Im almost nervous on the Roku since up over 25% in such a small amount of time, and SBUX bouncing off new ATHs almost every day

Roku went down just as fast though, a bounce was probably inevitable

I'm hoping the 50/50 split between riskier/safer investments is good enough.
JSMTX (mid) and International will likely swing more wildly than VIIIX (large cap) and VBTIX (bonds).

Stocks have had a nice start to the year.

What do people use to calculate their taxes early? I'm near the step in fed taxes, and want to do taxes in late December to see if I should make a large year end contribution to a 401k.

I use TurboTax's tax estimator. They have a tool that you can use without having to log in and go through all of the steps. You're honestly better off to get a head start on your taxes most times if you're concerned about it.
