Hey guys, combed through the thread, sorry if I’m reviving it, but anyone know if there’s a direct drop in replacement yet?

I really-read the first post and realized that now. I was confused with the post of the new fj shroud and reservoir. But I’m thinking the stock shroud will do just fine. I live in Florida so opting for the 160 thermostat and adaptor to keep temps around 190 in summertime. Anything I need to order? Sorry if I’m beating a dead horse here

Na man your fine, the Fj shroud and resi still will be your best bet. Only because it works as a drop in and no modification is required. If you choose to stick with the stock shroud you will need to do some cutting at the bottom of it. I bout the the Fj shroud and resi, it wasn’t too much, and I just wanted a easy install....

Do you have a link to the exact parts? And did you upgrade the thermostat aswell? Just learning about the URD thermostat kit and whatnot and want to do it right.

I don’t remember the 2 part numbers off hand, but I know they are in here. Scroll or a quick search should net those for you. I did the URD thermo kit too. I did the 170.

Yes it does. You just pick what temp thermo you want. For the install you will need to do very very minor modification to the thermo housing. It’s no biggy.

Once you take off the housing, you’ll have to cut off the inside basically to fit in the new thermo. Just one simple cut.

Awesome man thanks! I’ve never swapped out a thermostat before so holding I can figure out what to cut once I get it off.

Once you take the housing off and see it in your hand it becomes pretty self explanatory. It’s pretty simple, you’ll be fine.

I've thought the same when I saw someone install in-door-channel light bar mounts.. I hope he's better than that dude.. That dude was a disaster lol.

So were the lightbar mounts. I'm just saying even though it's a simple job there are people out there that find a way to mess it up. If you have any sense of head on your shoulders you should be good to go on this job.

My wallet is a bit light (land rover problems) and my radiator is fine for now. As soon as it's not I will get this setup!
