Yeah, gonna try to use quite a few layers of bedliner. Gonna prep with the metal etching solution too

Thanks man appreciate it! I’m gonna try to bang it out quick tomorrow after school. Still not 100% if I want it black or just clear coat the raw... I think black will look better in the long run.

If your going to use the bumper and it get scratched, por15 is good and is pretty easy to touch up, but spray paint works really good as well. The metal etch is worth it but use the marine clean to clean everything. Makes the paint process super easy.

I use to just use the marine clean, metal prep, and spray paint

Yeah I think I’m gonna do the por15 and then to keep it UV protected use the bedliner in a few layers. Can you just pick up the marine cleaner from CT?

I went to a speciality shop. Could grab it on Amazon most likely. Any degreaser cleaner like the wd40 degreaser should work

Ah okay I have the POR15 brand degreaser so that should be strong enough! I was gonna wash it down with that anyway, it’s got machine oil on it so it didn’t rust shipping.

Depends on the size of the sled. Some from skis are wider than our wheel wells

The real trick is keeping the weight off the tailgate

Take the time to do it lol. I also have a needle scaler to take off rust and paint layers. Helped when I applied it to my frame many moons ago

Should be fine cause it’s already raw. I’m gonna take the time to do the prep
