For sure! I enjoy building them, we actually added some kickouts/steps around the perimeter since that pic.

    Friday arrivals!!

Please keep in mind the 101 class will not be held until dinner time. This is subjective and will be played by ear. Zeb and I will be getting there around 4:30. However, I will not be involved in the 101 class; that’s @penbergm ’s beast and Zeb will probably help. If you roll in Saturday, ya missed it

    Saturday arrivals!!

The scavenger hunt will be an all day type deal, but it will not take all day. Upon arrival, check in with the TTC station (under the awning, area B), and you’ll get your cheat sheet with further instructions. THIS IS A PARTICIPATION GRADE! The only thing you’ll win is bragging rights over everything else. Do not haul ass around the park. We are guests at Hidden Falls; all of their rules are our rules and failure to comply will most likely have you in trouble with more than just our band of dumbasses

There are a lot of new people to hidden falls. Please remember we are not Jambo; just a few guys in an awesome club trying to have fun with people new and old. Socialize, meet new people, hit the trails with them. This is hardly structured. Here are some things to keep in mind
    • There is a 15mph speed limit throughout the park
    • Out of sight out of mind - if you make the choice to drink/smoke and drive, do so at your own disgression. Remember, this is still technically illegal. Be smart
    • We do not own the park! Be polite an advocate for TTC appropriately. Help people if they need help on the trails
    • Don’t liter on the trails. If you see liter, pick it up. Simple stuff folks
    • 2WDs, due to the nature of physics, WILL NOT be able to get around as well as a stock 4WD. Be smart out there y’all. Not saying don’t come. Just know this isn’t blasting around in mud
    • Lastly, leave the trail better than you found it. Opt for gear recoveries above piling rocks unless it’s like one to jam under a tire. If you’re needing to build a full ramp, chances are you need a winch. If you pile rocks, move them. The park is not catered to you, and not everyone wants a ramp up an obstacle
Can’t wait to see everyone next weekend, should be a blast :bananadance:

Love this explanation, as I am new to "offroad", but when I show up, and am looking for the group, what comms will we be using? I can do HAM, GMRS, or CB. How do i find the group, and how will we communicate throughout the trip?

There won't be a "group", persay. Everyone goes at their own pace and if enough people show up, people will naturally gravitate toward other people at the same pace. People will be coming and going all day as well. When I have a group (typically the rowdy folk), we'll do a trail or two, go back to camp, have a beer and a snack, go back out, run a few trails, go back to camp to meet people, drink more beer, go back out, etc etc

As for comms, some of us run GMRS but it's not the majority. There will be lots of new faces there as well. If you have a CB and want to try and touch base, we'll typically run on 7 and 13. There might be other groups on those channels as well, though. Us who can get all cute with GMRS can sync whenever so we can touch base between groups. Cell service is also typically pretty good. If i'm in an easier group or taking a break i'll check TW to do my best to help the scragglers.

For those who have never been go HF before, you'll get it. Show up at the gate, pay (please don't air down your tires at the gate, keep moving or it'll get cramped), drive down the park road. It's pretty clear which it is. You'll past a glamping parking ground ahead of you/on your right, pass that, that's area A. Then you'll pass another open area on your left; that isn't B, it's the day use area. You'll be able to tell area B when you see it. We'll be on the left (west) side. Drive around, you'll see some Toyotas. Especially on Saturday when we get the awning there. Area B is where you air down and bullshit.

If you're coming early on Friday, have fun, sync up with new Toyota folk. No plans 'till dinner time. I'll be there around 4:30, so if y'all are out there feel free to meet me at B. We can figure out the camping sitch then.

Sorry for the info dump. Just go out, meet up with some Toyota folk if you're new and have some fun. If you see me in the park, just follow me. I'll do my best to cater what I do to whoever is following me on Friday.
