Sausage was good. Smokey with a little heat, but not too much.

Tonight my wife is not home so it was my turn to do dinner. Grilled some Hake, asparagus, potatoes and carrots, all on the grill.
The hake is very fishy (duh!) and my daughter said it tasted raw, even though it was cooked through. The rest of the family liked it though.

Grilled some heart shaped steaks for Valentine's day. Also heart shaped potatos, cut with a small cookie cutter, and green bean kisses.

It was good but not what I was expecting... It almost reminded me of oysters? I dunno exactly not that it tasted fishy it just reminded me of some kind of shellfish for some reason. I know that probably doesnt make sense and I feel like it would have been better grilled iver charcoal to pick some other notes but no just roasted it in the oven cuz I was making stock and French onion soup on a video

I just make a foil tray (or bought foil pan) and put the asparagus in there with butter, garlic, salt & pepper and put it on the grill.
Sometimes I will add cut pieces of mushrooms, onions, bacon etc., whatever you feel like in there with it for a different flavor. I have also wrapped it in bacon and put it directly on the grill - good but tends to be drier/stalkier that way than in the butter.

Tonight was grilled rib-eye, grilled sandwich and brussel sprouts. Pulled the rib-eyes at 120, my mother-in-law's at 150.

That's a staple in our house. Actually very popular in South Africa where I grew up. Just a sandwich with cheese, tomato and onion, buttered on the outside for a nice golden crust when grilled. Awsomeness. IMG_20190201_191027.jpg IMG_20190201_194528.jpg
