I'm considering going to the same tire size and was thinking 4.88s. Are you thinking the 5.29s are better suited?

    Thanks

There's several guys on here that are running 34's with 4.88s and seem to be working out well for them.

The gearing between 4.88 and 5.29 isn’t much of a difference. With both of them the same price, why not go for the 5.29 with 34s? 4.88 is perfect for 33s. It’ll give me just a bit more bottom end that these trucks lack, and room for growth if I ever decide to go 35s or bigger. Plus it’s less strain on the transmission overall. I’ll still be able to cruise the highway at 80 mph and not worry about over revving. Ultimately either way it’s a huge improvement over the stock gearing but that’s just my .02

Don't want to lift and am thinking of going with 17" wheels on 265/70/17's. I am considering the 4 Runner wheels in particular. Which color do you think goes best with Cement? Anyone have pictures with theirs on?

Anyone have pictures of a DCLB cement with a HC rear bumper? Might be purchasing one soon and would like to see one with it.

I'm running 4.88s on 34" Toyo M/Ts and to me it's the perfect balance. I don't think I'd go 5.29s with anything less than a 35" tire but that's just my personal opinion. I know folks that have gone 4.88 on 33" tires and it just doesn't seem to work as well to me. Yeah, you may get more torque on the bottom end, but off the line it's a dawg. That's just my .02.

If you want to see it anytime this year, you should order it as soon as possible! lol. I ordered mine from CBI back in early November and it still hasn't even been built yet. Hopefully I can provide some pictures soon though!

Thanks for the input sean, always helpful! I know our trucks are at a similar set up, but I’m trying to account with the added weight as well (bumpers and such). I know you’re going to be adding to yours as well. I’m just afraid of adding a bit much and wanting more. We’ll see. My next trip to AZ I’ll probably have SDHQ install everything. This is jdiaz90 from IG by the way haha

Hey, what's up man? No problem! I've had mine weighted down quite a bit recently and to be honest, there really isn't much of a difference in performance. I think that having my gears is the single best thing that I've had done on this truck. Also, if you haven't had the T-SB-0062-18 flashed to your ECU, it helps tremendously! Let me know when you're out here next and I'll let you drive mine, or actually I'll be out in Anaheim this weekend if you're around that area.

Is that something you want to get rid of?
Also, does it matter if I don’t have remote start?

Nah plus it’s been dropped once or twice so the back is little scratched. I’m not actually sure about the non-remote start part.

I wish he still made the TRD key fobs. He’s only doing “AJT” fobs now. I think got the last red one.
