I’m all about the minamilst apporach. Although you will loose the spare key. But I can count on no fingers the amount of times I’ve used it in 3 years.

Well, I figure I can probably zip tie that puppy somewhere waaaaay up under the truck somewhere in case I feel exposed without a mechanical spare.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of finish are you putting on your parts to get that texture? Looks nice.

Thanks. The 3D prints usually get sprayed with a SEM finish. Although the fob would be something I’d injection mold or CNC.

Found the SEM stuff. Thanks for the info! I've got some printed parts for my other vehicles that look "pretty good" in smooth matte interior enamel, but always looking for improvements.

With the popularity of your products and the fact that you've now got a relationship with a manufacturer for the gasshole I don't imagine 3d printing parts is very cost or time effective beyond the prototyping stage (not to mention improved durability, etc.). Looking forward to seeing what you've come up with for the fob.

Yeah I use the rock chip guard. It’s super durable, has a nice satin finish, and helps “seal” up the print for longevity.
3D printing is still a significant resource in my designs. It’s actually not very time consuming(on my end) because the build can print a high volume of parts at once. Since parts are printing in “space”, I am not restricted to a build plate size. The downside is..the technology is still relatively expensive compared to standard extrusion print. Plus side- I can change a design or tweak a feature at a moments notice, which would be impossible if it was a mold. I think I’ve rambled on long enough:cookiemonster:

Could you make one without any logo on it where the diameter of the hole is slightly smaller? I have the Gasshole and I recently got a locking gas cap and it falls right out of the Gasshole.

Meso, since you have the skills and knowledge, here's an idea I think would sell. Make the Stock fender flares wider to accommodate larger wheels. The bushwacker flares with the bolted design doesn't appeal to me, I would prefer the smooth clean look that the stock flare has. Make them in different widths and mounted just like the stock ones, 1 1/4 -1 1/2 and so on, bigger then the stock size. Here in Hawaii where Tacoma's rule, all modified trucks and cars require reconstruction permits to be legal in the state to drive. To pass with larger tires the wheels must it sit under the fender flare to pass. Many people use garden edge material to extend the width and it looks really tacky but there is no alternative except the bolted design look. Just a thought... $.02

I feel like I've seen your stuff before. Do you have a link to your designs?
