How long does it take you to wash your truck?

How long does it take you to wash your truck? My wife always says it takes me too long. I normally take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Sometimes 3 depending on the detailing I want to do to it. I want to show her that I'm not crazy!

 

"too long" is the perfect answer haha... i'll have to time it next time, it's due for a bath anyway

 

Well, there's already a thread on this topic, but anyway, you need an option for less than 1 hour. That would be me. It's going to look like crap in 2-3 days anyway.

 

Usually about 4 hours including breaks...but on certain occasions (wash+clay+polish+glaze+wax) it has taken over 12 hours.

 

Wait...I clicked All day but that's the whole shabam. Washed, waxed with the 3 step, wetted with silicone, and vacuumed....the wash part only takes 30 min if muddy, and 10 min just for dust when waxed.

Only 30 mins?! Thats fast. For onr thing I smoke so after I wash it, I let it drip some of the water off and smoke a cig before I start to towel it.

 

havent washed mine since i bought it last may lmao.. i dont know how long it will take haha

 

Damn not even that long ago! Thought I had something new. I should know better on here I guess.

 

Too long- as I cant stand washing & or detailing a car/truck.

One of the few things in life I dont mind paying for.

 

Not more than an hour for me. What takes the longest is waiting for it to dry/or drying it off in the driveway so I can apply the Armorall on the fender flares and what not.

 

Takes me 2-3 hours if the wife and 5 year old daughter help. If it was me alone about an hour!

 

Takes me about an hour just to do a basic wash. Takes more if I want to detail my wheels and wax the whole truck.

 

Heh - About 10 minutes for my normal washes through the touchless car wash.

Otherwise 3-4 hours a couple times a year when I drop it off for detailing...

I'm way too busy with life right now to spend the time it takes to detail the car... Kids / Wife / Work etc....

About a hour to wash my truck. Then i find new dents and scratches which piss me off

 

State the difference between polish, glaze and wax please and is this the order you do it in?

 

depends how dirty my truck is but usually a couple hours is what it takes. that includes washing,drying,tire foam, back to black. if i wax it it takes 3-4 hours easily.

 

just a wash and dry usually takes me about an hr to an hr and a half...depending on what else i do can run up to 4 hrs for a complete detailing inside and out
