Bronco it's whats for dinner

So here the story. Got home from work and I was talking neighbors daughter and her boyfriend and of course they started talking smack on Toyota and anything import. So enough is enough I said if you’re up to it lets go over to the gravel pit and settle this. Mind you they had just put some new mud tires on their Bronco so in their minds this piece of American muscle is now invincible.

Long story short it was a blood bath and the Bronco didn’t make half way up any of the hills I challenged them with. I will say this there was one hill that we were playing on that I didn’t go over because after I got my front wheels over the lip it was coming down on the frame and I’m not willing to beat my truck to prove the point I can make it over.

P.S. I love my locker and A-Trac

Small world isn't it. I work in Hopewell and have lived in the area most of my life. I probably know them. It's a long way from the OC, in so many ways!

Not to rain on parade here, but make and model has nothing to do with ability to conquer the obstacles. Bronco guy could have easily have Front/rear lockers and would give you run for your life.

the make and model plays the role in how much beating truck can take before it breaks down.

You're right and I told them going into it what my truck had and they were insistent that it didn't matter.

If the Bronco had front/rear locker it would have definitely given me a run especially considering it has a solid front axel. This was was not about lifts, tire size, or even horse power, it all came down to four wheel technology.

my bro and i built a 1971 bronco that is scary capable.

that 1996 rig (i'm guessing the year) is a different animal. heavy..my stepdads 95 tahoe is even more retarded. it is a horrible off road rig. great pics..and great job stomping some american iron!

 

The 71 Bronco an entirely different animal and a sweet one at that. If I were a Bronco guy and wanted to build a sweet one that is defiantly the model I would go with.

Nice job! I like how you can see his right front tire just sitting still at the end of the video. ATRAC would have been able to do some work there. I have one of those old model Broncos that I use for fun on logging roads. I got it not too long ago and Aficianado is right - it is super capable and weighs next to nothing. I am amazed at what it can go through and the turning radius is TIGHT. I wouldn't claim it could outgun my tacoma but it sure is fun to drive.

 

If owner was that stupid then it was deserved, but I wanted to clear out that it was the Bronco owner that fail.
