So is the Tactrix drivers just to work with Mats software? I’ve never installed them until now

 

I believe from reading earlier posts that Mat's Tactrix cable and drivers will work with Techstream as well.

There are lots and lots of IT and technically-savvy folks on this forum. I'm not one of them, so I'm just doing exactly what Mat says, with the products he recommends. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to reprogram the keyfob to unlock all the doors (others have done it). Meanwhile, baby steps...

 

the driver is so that you can use the tactrix with some software. that could be mats software, Techstream or anything else. Its basically what tells the computer how to communicate with the device so you can use it.

 

@OVTune are you still looking at incorporating the techstream learned value clearing into the new flash manager?

 

I'm guessing it isn't going to make it into this release. He said he was going to look into it though. IMHO it would be a very useful feature to have.

 

Any other FREE software I should download to use with those drivers?

 

Does anyone have a "coles notes" on how to download Techstream for use with the Tactrix cable? This is in the hopes of deleting learned values.

I was stopped at a stop light and looked down cause I heard my engine tone changing. the idle was bouncing from 500 to 600 rpms repeatedly until I took off. I'm on 87 1.05. Has anyone else noticed this?
