You're on a thread for TE37s... do you really expect anyone here to care about your shitty replicas?

For SOME of you, twenty-five years from now you are going to look back and for various reasons (one of which may be your wheel choices), you are not going to like the younger you. (Invoke image of Dwayne Johnson wearing that fanny pack.)

    embedded_the_rock_fanny_pack.jpg

See what I mean? Don't be that guy. Ask me how I know. (At least mine was a concealed carry fanny pack.) Some lessons only time can teach. I'm not talking about you though. Your wheels are okay. If you like them. For now. And then there will be the buyer's remorse over what you could have done with that $4000 had you had some self control to not spend it.

Said the old man who it appears is losing the struggle with the urge to go drop $3,600 on these:

Sadly, you probably won't like the older you either. Again, ask me how I know...

That's kind of an interesting post in this thread. It seems like you're suggesting those of us spending money on Volks are making immature and irresponsible decisions because the wheels are so expensive...without actually knowing anything about the finances or incomes of any of us.

Have I spent money on things that I've regretted later? Of course. But at the same time, modifying vehicles is a completely unnecessary hobby that cannot be justified by a financial planner. All of us that do this accept the fact that there are other things that the money could be spent on, but also accept the fact that spending some of our hard-earned money in a way that makes us happy is truly part of living. 25 years from now...or tomorrow...is not guaranteed. That, and I can afford to spend this kind of money. If I couldn't, I wouldn't.

No, no...You misunderstood me. I wasn't attacking you personally. It is a matter of taste. And perception. Each person is equipped with different tastes and perceptions. For instance, I personally don't like 22 inch spinners and curb feelers. I also perceive that many of the wheels I see on this forum look like shit to me. You probably think mine do to. And that is okay. Isn't it.

As for finances, as long as you are not neglecting your fiduciary responsibility to your family, or living in your parent's basement to finance your lifestyle, you go on ahead and buy those curb feelers. If they currently float your boat.

Quite frankly, I'm probably going to lose the battle, give in and buy mine. Eventually. And it is okay with me if you think they look like shit. I could give a rat's ass what anyone thinks mine look like. Peace!

We agree then. I not one of the trolls online that go around putting people down because they have different tastes than I do. I have better things to do with my time. If someone wants to put chrome wheels on their truck, or "stance" out their car on an air suspension, or buy $400 knockoff wheels or whatever, that's their business.

Talking about looking back over time though, I've been a fan of the tuner scene for over 20 years and had multiple sets of Volks on many different vehicles. This is nothing new for me, and I've never even come close to putting myself or my family in a financially bad position while funding my hobby.

Yeah, and even worse, I'm thinking of hanging a Honda Monkey off the front bumper of my Taco when I go overlanding. Like I need a Honda Mini Trail at my age...

    TOTAL fiduciary retirement capitulation.

Hmmm not sure about that. Back when I was 16 I couldn’t afford Volks for my Honda. Now that I’m 40 I can afford them and finally get wheels I wanted for nostalgic reasons. Nice BC Forged wheels BTW if that’s your truck

That is a good looking truck, but sadly it is not mine. Belongs to a very lucky guy in Florida.

Let's get back to the point of the thread. To the person that asked, 0 offset. I test fit one of them with a Spidertrax spacer just to get a sense of what a -20 offset would look like (it'd actually be closer to -35) but it was way too much poke for my tastes. 0 offset sits perfect to my eye:
