Regardless of what transmission you have in your taco, you need an xfer case from an FJ with an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION FJ CASE WILL NOT WORK.

The 5th gen 4Runner uses the same case. I think the 4th gen trail edition does too. Just make sure it has a stick.

I have a lot of useful links on my build page, here (the link should take you to post #4). Just look under the FJ Case Swap bit to see what all is involved. It's just a matter of swapping input shafts, cutting a hole, and running a few wires for a switch.

Still waiting on Income tax to come in. Got a couple more quotes from some other places around town cheapest is $300. Other then that no luck so far. Its killing me trying to be patient
