There are backroads that'll get you further up the hill, avoiding 80, but there are limitations...

damn Don, how did you kill/survive your last mountain lion attack?

I have personally only stared one face to face one evening while solo mountain biking. It took me a while to convince it I was not that nights meal. I am glad I didnt have to take a grappling lesson from it. I wouldnt talk shit about anyone that has.

That shit was way scarier than the time I got a bit too close to a way bigger than me black bear by the side of creek. I put big cats in the same category as wolves and grizzlys, if you area able to tell the story, you are a bad ass in my book.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Mountain lions are no joke. My dad's GSD scared one off one night when we were out camping. Good thing the dog was 145lbs with police training in Germany..

Why I keep one and now two asshole dogs with me at all times outdoors. Dogs are a wildcard for most animals and will usually err on caution.

No joke. I conceded that point already. But we're talking a 4 or 5 MONTH OLD 40 pounder. What he really should have been worried about was is momma near by. Baby cougars remain with their mother for up to the first two years of their lives.

I can see that....but does sound like a lot of assumptions. Either way...who cares? Dude survived being attacked by a mountain lion...even a small young one. And as the article said as he was leaving he was on the look out for more of them AKA: mom. So he kinda survived more than that.

    Edit: Just saw your post
I didn't think of this..dude deserved what he got.

He's lucky in that regard for sure, but what's sad though is I assume it means the little cat's mother is gone, likely dead, which is probably why it attacked this guy, because it was starving.
