My folks were cleaning out the attic of their old farm house that she was born in and found some cool stuff. She sent me pics asking if I wanted these before they tossed them in the burn pile.

    Hell yeah I wanted them!

My grand father used the old trunk as a closet when he was a kid, old farm houses weren't to big on closets. My grand ma had painted it the funky color years ago, but I saw potential.

Not sure the story of the old military trunk, but she said she remembered seeing it as a kid. She's 82 now. Damn thing weighs at least 150 pounds empty, and has massive handles for 4 people to carry it.

I got half way thru on both of them, and thought...what have I got myself into. That green paint was a royal pain to remove. If it had held something cool instead of tables I'd left it as it was. It's my favorite thing in my house now.
