The clockspring connector. Under the steering wheel airbag.

Remove the Torx bits from the sides of the steering wheels to free the airbag squib. Then unplug the clockspring from the dash harness.

Do not do this unless you have the truck sitting with the battery unhooked to prevent accidental discharge of the airbag.

How can you be so sure?

Constant or Intermitent Horn issues are usually caused by the clockspring being defective.

I'm having the same issues only its intermittent. I can pull the fuse for a few days and put it back in, and it stops. I may last for a few hours or a few weeks and then randomly will start again. Usually after sitting over night. Clock spring is new so pretty sure its not the issue. Any clues?

Mine did this with the alarm system. No idea if it's aftermarket or not

I ended up pulling the wire connection that goes to my ignition from either the fuse box, or ECU ( can't remember which one). There’s a short somewhere in the circuit and I didn’t feel like tracing it. I'll try and post a picture to show what I mean

Horn's don't need ignition power to work, so something is shorting it to ground. A spiral cable shorting to ground would likely be all the time, not just key on.

I would suspect a tougher problem like remote starter, or an open circuit back feeding into the horn.

I've seen this with batteries installed backwards and when fuses are blown.

It’s not the clock spring. If the clock spring was bad or shorted he horn wouldn’t work at all or go off even when the key was out. The key sense is activating the horn, which is telling me a factory/aftermarket alarm is going off.

I couldn't find any pictures, but there's a wire that goes to the ignition from the alarm system circuit. I just pulled that one off of the ignition.

I have checked all fuses I can find, and to my knowledge there's no alarm system. I'm starting to lean to a short somewhere. I guess the fun of chasing wires or just bypassing the horn begins.. Lol

There's a Timmy The Tool Man youtube video about removing the
steering wheel without the air bag exploding in your face and fiddling
with the clockspring and the connectors...
