Well snowed 4-6" last night..damn.

But I kept my oem radiator. So that's nice. Hoping I can get this champion one replaced for free. I can't run my skid plate with my oem radiator.

See how that works out.

 

Monte, I thought you had a scangauge or an ultrgauge hooked up in igor. Am I mis-remembering?

Yes and no. I have it. Havent installed it.

 

haha. If its not hooked up, you don't have it.

Too bad because then you would know exactly what the water temps got to which might indicate how big of a problem you actually have.

 

Really sorry to hear about Igor, Monte. That makes me want to go set up a temp alarm on my UG ASAP.

Has anyone ever done the anytime locker mod on a second gen? I followed this build thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/locker-anytime-mod-for-dummies-2005.353724/ and it seems all very straight forward but cant get it to work for the life of me. Any suggestions?

 

you talking about the grey wire mod?

All you have to do is ground out the gray wire

 

That sounds a hell of alot easier to do that what that thread is explaining. So all you have to do is cut and ground the grey wire that is in the 4 wheel drive plug or what grey wire?

 

damn just looked at the link. That seems super over involved to me..

However...I don't have a 2nd gen. On 1st gens, its literally just grounding out a wire from one of the plugs(its grey, thus the name Grey wire Mod). Takes like 5 mins.

Not sure why the 2nd gens would be much different as its literally the same diff and actuator.

Perhaps @SconnieHailer could chime in on this.

 

Looks like I’m headed back to WY this summer. Moving to Sheridan in mid April for 5 months of work! I’m thinking it’ll be more taco friendly than Green River? Any TW members up there?

 

You'll have direct access to the big horns so yes much more taco friendly.

Couple guys there that are hit and miss active. I lived there for 5 months working for the college once. It's a nice town.

I did it, but I dont think this was quite how.
Hmm its been so long I forgot, but it was pretty simple from what I remember. Ill have to drop the glovebox and look.

One of my trees fell down earlier this week. It happened after going to work on Tuesday morning in the redhead. We had had quite a bit of snow the previous few days and on this morning the snow was a mix, transitioning to rain. It was just too much for the tree and which fell across my driveway just barely missing the house. This image was sent by my neighbor soon after it fell

Fast forward to today. My buddy Mark came by with his chainsaw and made fairly quick work of that thing.

Dang! Glad it missed the house.

We rented a snowmobile fir tomorrow. Going up around lulu pass! Should be fun to see everything covered in snow.
