No, I’m not biased.....maybe....

 

I'd rather have manual for the 4.30 gears and not dealing with the transmission shifting. Plus, I'm starting to get bored driving and my phone makes its way into my hands too often. I almost never touched my phone with a manual.

Nope, I'm a millennial and drive stick, have taught a few of my millennial friends as well.

 

I'm 21, just poking jokes. What's funny is that I was a valet supervisor for a long time and 90% of the people there (ages 20-28) couldn't drive stick shift. Almost none of my friends know either, but I taught all my ex's how lol

 

Same, but old millenial at 33, funny last 2 deployments the amount of people who don't know how to drive stick and that's almost every truck out there, taught about half our squadron last deployment lol.

 

I think it's a shame - Side note, how does the Tacoma handle rev matching and heel-toe? Are the pedals in the right spot for heel-toeing?

 

I wish I could answer that for ya you, but my taco is an auto, I know shame, I just grew impatient waiting for a cement with tech and prem in MT, though last week I regret that decision (the auto).

 

The clutch is very forgiving in my opinion. (Previous WRX owner with a race clutch as STS.) There’s so much travel between the Tacoma’s engagement point and when the pedal is fully depressed...but I’m not complaining, really. I knew the two would be night and day. Driving a MT Tacoma is fantastic; I imagine it’s like driving a big rig at times lol. Rev matching is easy in the Tacoma - the pedals aren’t far apart at all.

I figured it would be similar to the trucks on my deployment in feel (Isuzu and Mitsubishi newer trucks) and not like my s2000 lol. For me Chicago traffic and my already bump knee, the MT took a back seat.

 

I hear ya man. I fractured the 5th metacarpal in my right hand and had surgery/casted for 7 weeks. It was a bitch to drive. I’ve also injured my left knee squatting at the gym and it was the one time I wish I had an AT.

 

You mean it doesn’t feel like a 6 puck?! Thank god lol. I too came from Subaru’s and was so tired of pushing what felt like 20lbs everytime I had to shift. Does the Tacoma clutch engage in the middle/too/bottom?

How about heel toe (if you do that). I mean, I’m test driving one in 10 hours but curiousity has me haha.

 

Leg days are the best haha, watching your left leg shake on the clutch the whole way back from the gym lol

I respectfully disagree. It's all a matter of preference.

I had a 6" drop bracket lift on my 2010 and loved every minute of it. It was rock solid system and suited me well.

If done properly you will end up with a $40k truck with a nice drop bracket lift.

That being said, I haven't done DB lift on my 2019 mostly because I will have trouble parking in some city garages capped at 7'. But it has crossed my mind many times.
