^^^ Pulling out for this weekend, need to help my housemate with some manual labor/life stuff.

Also added the HAM frequency to the details.

Oh, no worries. I only really have Denver area repeaters programmed. Simplex is good.

If you want to come on the run tomorrow just copy and paste the entire event post, tag yourself at the bottom of the "Going" list, and throw in whether you have HAM or not.

See you guys in the morning.. Metalfree (Chad) and I should be there before everyone else. Can't miss my runner.

Also, I just got word that the "back side trails" are a slippery icy mess. I don't know exactly what area that is pertaining to, but I guess we'll find out.

Have a great time. Wish I could go.

Anyone ever bring a chainsaw when up in Rainbow Falls area when off-roading? Before the Hayman Fire (well I just dated myself), I was doing Hacket and coming out Longwater and a tree blew over in high winds. Tree was rather large and couldn’t be moved, or gone around (not that we would go off trail:thumbsup:). We had to go all the way back around. By that time, it was night wheeling.

I don’t carry a chainsaw, just wondering if anyone else did.

I think @Coop68 and @CO MTN Steve have one? Not coming on the run though.

But I have an axe and a feeling for manual labor!

Since you mention the fire... We can finally settle a debate we have been having for the last 2-3 months. @Littles @YamaDirtrider

How many years ago was the fire?

I think it’s just Coop that carries one. And I want to get one, the electric coop had was perfect.

    The fire was 2002

June-July of 2002, so 16 years, 7 months ago, depending on arguing start or finish.

I spent so much time in the Divide area. ATV, Trail Riding my MX dirtbike, camping, first place I went off-road after moving to Colorado from CA, first place to wheel and camp with my new 99 TRD Tacoma. Pretty sure my first born was conceived on 717...

When I seen that smoke billowing over Cheyenne Mountain (lived on the SW part of COS), I knew that area would never be the same.
