I’m waiting on a few more parts for my scx10ii, I got the Mojave body roughly fitted. Decided to put my LRT2 trans together. I’m gonna get the scx10ii driving before starting on the 4runner.

Anyone have an idea what I can for a Team associated PROSC 4x4? It's been on a clay track twice. Great condition. Looking to pick up a UDR. Leads on that would help too.

Also have a Bomber in absolutely mint condition I can let go.

What's up guys. Just found this awesome thread. I've always like RC crawlers and been wanting to get into them, I just never had anyone to ask or get info from.

My goal is to build a first gen but I have little to no knowledge on where to start looking or what is better/ worse.

I understand the are chassis kits you can build, what would be a good one to start with that I can upgrade later when i'm ready? I'm not looking to build something for speed (yet ), just something slow to crawl and play with. I like the pictures of @NABeast 's first gen. I guess something like that would be my end goal (not right away but to eventually get there).

    Appreciate any help :anonymous:

Axial has been a staple for years. They’re going through some issues right now. But there are still some RTRs and kits available. Look for Axial SCX10.2 (SCX10II). Good setup.

Traxxas has hit the market strong with their release of the TRX4. A little more pricey but is the latest and best out there.

If you want a first gen then go to RC4WD website. Look around. The lexan body offered for the first gen is more narrow than the two mentioned above. Unless you want it to look like it’s on some 3/4 ton Dana axles. RC4WD isn’t cheap and often times their stuff doesn’t perform as is without a lot of tinkering. But it would be more ‘scale’ looking.

What he said! Axial has been my favorite so far, but the trx4 turned out to be a pretty solid rig. You'll find a lot more hop ups for axial though.

Where are you at in Nor-Cal? If in the Bay Area, it worth making the drive to Jakes Performance Hobbies in Rohnert Park. Jakes a very helpful and great guy.
