You can read as much as you want... Additionally, I have seen the results of many that have stunted their interpersonal relationships and other side effects you are choosing to ignore for the sake of your addiction.

Who said anything about being addicted?!

There's a difference between supporting a cause and being addicted. Please don't mix the two.

I don't know who you think I am, but please dont pass judgement on my personal condition (which is pretty damn good thank you very much :p) when all you know about me is that I am a supporter of the responsible use of marijuana and that I love my Tacoma.

Being that the economy needs to get rolling (no pun intended) maybe we should legalize cocaine or meth so instead of promoting the addiction of something that puts you to sleep. Instead we could promote something that gets people moving.

It could also help Michelle Obama with her physical fitness deal - Have you ever seen a fat meth head? I wonder what the coloration to potheads and obesity. "I'd like to mow the lawn but I still have a whole bag of Doritos!" Plus health care is free so don't worry about heart attacks or missing teeth - that stuff is all FREE now!

Edit: I'm sorry - It's not free health care - we (the 50% that pay taxes) have to pay in for 4 years so that the cost for the next 6 years looks like a smaller number... I just hope you guys can pay for it in the future!

Weed is not a tool to develop a game plan

They might as well legalize. No different than alcohol or liquor IMO.

I've heard that argument before and it is true to some level. But having a glass of wine or beer with dinner is different than being a drunk. I see to many people that think it adds to their life experience. Most of the time they are wrong - stoned - but still wrong. Most all of the folks that I truly admire are pretty sober most all of the time - I would call it 'In control' - In control of their life, their destiny, their work, their relationships, the happiness.

Thats what I like being in control of happiness - Smoking weed may be fun and allow you to forget about those things but weed doesn't draw a good life map. ...and I am not saying that from a lack of experience.

I agree with the last post. It is great to see an educated approach to a serious question.
Alcohol is more of a problem (as suggested) than pot. Cannabis has proven medical benefits, calms psychological problems, is helpful in curbing alcohol addiction and in the past has been used for many industrial and clothing products.
I feel it should be treated as alcohol is; with an age usage set, sold in a controlled liquor store environment with ATF controls and taxed on a Federal and state level, as tobacco (worse than pot) is. The obvious gains in revenue will help all states and the Federal government reduce their debts.
I am dismayed at the conservative nature and opinions of the country on this and many subjects. Regarding pot, you are playing right into the hands of the 'reefer madness' government made movies.
Do you realize that the use of pot as an industrial product was wide spread since the founding of this country and was the largest fiber product for industrial use. Another interesting fact, when alcohol prohibition was lifted, the ATF needed something to supervise and control; the tobacco lobby pushed for the reassignment of cannabis as a dangerous substance.
I will agree that people with an 'addictive' personality should not use pot; but they should also not use or be involved with any other addictive substance, such as: alcohol, tobacco, opiate drugs and religious or psychological cult movements.
Finally, the simple statement made in the last post is so true, if you like it (the affects and benefits) use it, if not don't...
So study the subject, become knowledgeable so you can make your own educated decision.
Don't become a pawn of society rambling and mistruths; be your own person and most of all enjoy.
    Peace...

I went to court yesterday for the ticket i got for possession of marijuana. Right before i went in front of the judge, a kid went up on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol. He had to pay a $450 fine! I thought i was done for. So I approached the stand and the judge gave me a $50 fine and an 8 hour drug course and said it will be dropped off my record! I found it pretty funny that my fine was 9 times less than the kid who was just too young to have a legal substance. California Justice System FTW! haha

oh and btw check this movie out. I saw it for the first time last week and it was actually very informative and i got quite a few laughs out of it... http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/super-high-me/

Yeah look at the x-hippies that are drafting the laws. At least most of them now use deodorant but I don't think they are the best thing for our great republic.

Once again, pot is not the best tool to use to draft your life plan.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I don't think Legalizing pot will change anything with "junkies" being on the road so i think your kids will be safe there. You need to worry about some drunk hitting them. Have you ever see the news talk about driver high on pot mowing down a whole family? I haven't but I have herd of drunk drivers doing it a lot!

Personally I think Alcohol is worse then pot and I drink. I don't smoke pot I just think if alcohol can be legal then why not pot.

There is no need for smoking pot to be a crime there is a lot worse things to worry about than pot.

    And that's my 2c

Those "x-hippies" were the 80s yuppies, the money behind the tech industry and are powerful as hell. The 18 year old from 1968 is turning 60 this year ... prime age for wielding political and cultural power. So yeah at the very least we'll see decriminalization at some level. The tide is definitely turning.
