Watching two techs kick the crap out of my powdercoated wheels and tires to dismount them made me cringe a bit.

Luckily I haven't had to take a vehicle in to a 'mechanic' in over 15 years. Thank goodness I was lucky enough to have friends and family that were always working on something so I helped and learned through others. All dealerships are different, but after the one I worked at when I was 18, I couldn't leave a vehicle at a dealership lol. I feel for you guys that don't have a different option

Lol my second job when I was in high school was a busser at niiiice restaurant on McCormick Woods golf course in Washington. Then I became server and money came in then, then I served and did that dealership oil change/wash car job while I was server as well. Just a few months of dealership job though. Lots of gas money needed for my 9 mpg FJ40 that I drove EVERYWHERE, friends all wanted to go in the 40, topless, no doors, fun as hell man. Good ol days lmao

Yeah dough was made in house and we cooked it in a wood fired oven.

And it was a small family owner restaurant. Owner is 1st gen Italian American. Both his parents are from Sicily

I feel so lucky to have an old school mechanic to work on anything that I am not comfortable with. Always looks for the problem, not just throw a bunch of parts at it and pray. Has a '40 Ford chopped top pickup that he has in the back of the shop that gets a little work every once in a while. Cool guy!! Shop was his father's before him.

Its not that i cant do the work myself, all i asked them to do was rotate the tires and check out a squealing brake issue (rear drums have too much crap in them, will go back next week for that) But its cold and rainy here, and the service today was only $23. This dealership hasnt let me down, and I can watch them so Im fine with it.

That's not ait filter oil. That's engine oil residue coming from the PCV system.
