At least it's not like a local gas station in my area that recently had its GAS pumps filled with diesel...They're handling it professionally but what a mess....

If that’s the case there should’ve been millions of lawsuits to the sky during hurricane Harvey.

Look at the last pic in the first post.
You’ll see snow left between the treads in the right tire (what you described as the front tire) up to a certain point, then the snow disappears for the most part. That’s what made me think it looked like the tire skidded.

Could be due to less snow because of the canopy.

In any case, I hope your repairs are to your satisfaction.

Another reason why I make sure I fill up before it snows. That and the fact that if the gas stations lose power, I have a full tank.

I'm in Bellingham and we got a decent amount. Probably a little over a foot total between the storms on my hill. We've been going through freezing and thawing which is keeping the roads slippery. My neighborhood has a couple of streets in the 20% gradient range. Those have been fun but the trucks have been handling it without drama. It might be a different story if I had to commute, but we just stayed home and did a lot of sledding and worked on the teardrop trailer in the garage.

Well that looks like fun :) I kept the trucks cleared off and didn't have nearly that much of a buildup. Of course it's been raining the past day and a half, so most of our snow is gone already. We're supposed to get some more weather next week. We'll see how it goes.

The employee had said it was 6 feet or so in the ground.

Stopping for gas wasn't the bad idea, but there were a couple others.

    That pole
That pole thingy is what killed my 1989 Toyota pickup. There was no snow on the ground as it happened mid Summer.
I filled up, went to pull out and heard a slight bang and the truck wouldn't move. My R/R tire caught the pole just enough to break the forward spring mount off on the pass side and dropped the rear driveshaft.
I put the truck in 4WD, backed it into a spot and had it towed to a friends body shop later that day. Pulled the rims and tires off and sold the truck for $500.

I got my new used door from California on Wednesday. It cost 400.00 plus 275.00 shipping. It was complete minus the door panel. The production date was 3 months after mine. Here it is.

Make them bolt-ons, and get them galvanized. Winter land makes steel rust.
