    I don’t know this. And now that you bring up head gaskets, has anyone had an issue in here? There’s a bunch of us pushing 10 psi now.

    I guess everyone on Facebook xrunner group. I stay off the Facebook crap. I have a small group of xrunner guys around new England I hang out with. One trd supercharger with 2.8 pulley and the other is fully built motor sleeved and all with urd blower.

    Anybody know if a 2010 ECU flashed with a TRD SC tune will work in a 2014? I am tempted to just keep my N/A ECU and buy an extra ECU, but not sure what I need to check for interoperability.

    I will find out Monday if I was able to shame my local dealer. I sat down with the service manager and senior master tech. They warned me they don’t install SCs, I said no problem. They said they won’t accept liability after they flash the ECU, no problem. They were afraid that I may not pass state inspection for other states I don’t even live in, I acknowledged their concern and said no problem. We shall see...

    I think the plugs might be different. Plus, the 14 has SAI and the 10 does not.

    The '05-'06 have a known HG failure issue. Toyota made an update. I've blown both. Lol.

    Unfortunately, ECUs vary by year, model, engine, transmission, etc, so I'm skeptical it would work.

    Sounds like a lot of double-talk from the dealer. Mine also said they wouldn't warranty the S/C tune. Almost two years later, I've had ZERO problems. Unless they screw-up the flash, which seems pretty difficult since Techstream will only install the year-, model-, engine-, transmission-specific tune over a correctly identified baseline tune (also specific to the year, model, engine, transmission, etc.), I don't see much to go wrong.

    That is an overhyped failure. The only Taco that was 05/06 that I have ever seen with a blown head gasket (it was incredibly mild at that) was on one that had some 341,000+ miles. Most other cars don't even make it to 200K before the gaskets blow or the engine/ tranny takes a dump on them. I'd say that is pretty solid performance out of an engine as a whole.

    I sent a rod through the oil pan of a 454. No boost required.

    You want the o2 sensor to face at a downward angle to prevent condensation buildup.
