thats one of the two reasons I dont want to swap a manual into my Tacoma....its so easy to drive haha, put it in 2nd or 3rd and focus on driving. The other is traffic.....my 97 tercel is a 5 speed and that shit sucks in stop and go traffic

I like the one you selected. It does show the old and the new, and it tells the story that the truck was obviously rolled. Change approved

So, back on the Pelfreybilt thing, I just saw that BAMF bought the inventory that was being auctioned. They are taking care of anyone that paid PB and didn't get their product (just have to prove they didn't get a refund). They are also selling off the remaining inventory to try to pay back anyone that paid and they don't have inventory for. Pretty cool of them to do that.

Heh, The spark plug change wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I just had to use some forethought on the #6 plug. I just had to pop a hose out of it's loom which gave me access to the plug hole and I had to take the plug wire loose from the other side and thread it through all the way back to the boot so I could rotate the boot to where the wire was coming out on the firewall side and it came right out. Then it was just a straight shot into the hole with a couple of 12" extensions and a plug socket. Easy-peezy. I even got to torque the plugs properly thanks to my new digital torque adapter, since it actually has a low enough setting.

    Old plugs...

The gap on the new plugs was supposed to be .043", so aside from 2 and 4 which I regapped by eye after they started misfiring, these things were pretty eroded. They are pretty clean though, so that's a good sign at least. (2 and 4 were pretty black when I took them out and regapped them.)

It's also interesting how the center electrode seems so much more eroded on the left bank (even numbers) than the right (odd numbers).

Well I know it’s late. Just installed the CSF fj radiator, fj fan shroud and reservoir, aswell as the upgraded thermostat to a 160 temp. Standard temps with ac on blast at idle was 185.0 degrees. After this upgrade, still needed to get a little air out of the system, I’m sitting at 176 degrees. Almost 10 degrees. That’s a pretty decent drop in temp and I’m stoked with it. Sorry for the crappy pic. Needed to install the engine cover and radiator top shroud haha

Here's a question: Does anyone know if you can put the transfer case off a R150F manual trans on an A340E automatic (with the 4WD tail shaft) without having to change anything? I'm just asking if they will bolt up. I'm not worried about the wiring or anything.

If I remember correctly, they fit behind the a340f transmissions (was gonna do one on my old tundra). Not sure what the difference between the E and F is though

Little update with covers back on and looking factory. Idle temp stays around 177-178. Under load driving so far is around 181-184 degrees with ac on blast. Still need to burp the radiator one more time though. This thing took almost 2 galling of Toyota’s fancy expensive pink 50/50 mix.

Got a lot of stuff lol
So I have a a340e and to make it work with a transfer case I would need a new tailshaft and outer rear housing. What's has a a340e?

E is 2wd long wierd out rear housing
F is 4wd with shorter output shaft and square ish rear housing that has the bolt pattern for a case
