So im getting a huge amount of creaking coming from my bushings...torqued to spec but when i back off the torque a bit the creaking stopped..factory torque specs too much for poly bushings?

Do you have any pics of your setup? How many miles are on the bushings?

The hardware should be torqued to spec and shouldn't result in excess noise.

    Happy to help!

Superlube is what we recommend but others have used different grease. You should be able to find a few options on Amazon

i re-greased using superlube instead of lucas and re-torqued using a digital torque wrench instead of harbor freights piece of junk. Nice and quiet now!! I think the torque might have had alot to do with it.

Just FYI you can use a pointy object such as a very small Allen Wrench and push down the ball in the middle of the grease zerk in case you overdid it. It will come right back out the same way

How much rust do you have? How many miles are on the setup?

If it's minor surface rust you might be able to use scotch brite to remove some. Depending on the condition, replacement may be necessary.

Im trying to grease my uca bushings for the first time and am running an issue accessing the zerk fitting on the driver side due to a brake line in the way. The line is stiff and didn't want to pry on it and accidentally break something. The passenger side is clear and not an issue. Advice?

There's a bracket holding that brakline in its place. Have you tried removing the bolt from the bracket? That should give you the room you need.

Thanks I’ll give that a shot. I’m by no means a mechanic an didn’t want to accidentally damage a brake line prying on something that shouldn’t be.

You should be able to bend the line slightly to allow for clearance. Also, you should take the metal bracket off your ABS wire and zip tie the line directly to the tab on the UCA.

@TOTAL CHAOS , any recommendations for cleaning the uniball before lubing? I have a squeak I can't get rid of, even after using PTFE Dry lube.

Soap & Water or possibly a little simple green if things are filthy. Often times the lower rod end of the front coil over can cause excess noise and be misdiagnosed as the UCA. We'd recommend making sure everything is clean and properly lubricated there as well.

Post a pic or two of your setup if you can. Btw - how many miles are on the setup?
